About this tour

Upon arrival to Georgia you will visit its beautiful capital Tbilisi, taste wine in Kakheti region, cultivated by our country’s 8000 years old tradition (Georgia is officially the first country to produce wine in the world), travel to amazing Caucasus mountains which is a must see during your stay. Spend unforgettable days in Borjomi. The city of Borjomi is known for its healing mineral springs, and many people travel here to soak in the springs’ restorative waters. Take a walk in Borjomi central park, taste mineral water, then take a cable car up the mountain to enjoy views of Borjomi gorge and the valley below. You will also visit Vardzia cave town – the caves stretch along the cliff for around five hundred meters and up to nineteen tiers. Vardzia was an important cultural center, a place of significant literary and artistic work. Lastly you will visit Rabati castle – place where high walls, guarded entrance gates and watch towers keep beautiful gardens and unique architecture.

Meet your guide and drive to hotel

• It is time to explore Tbilisi city tour, visiting main attractions of the city:
• Abanotubani – the ancient district of Tbilisi, known for its sulfur baths.
• Leghvtakhevi waterfall which is 22 meters tall. The name Leghvtakhevi comes from Georgian word "Leghvi" which means fig.
• Kartlis Deda (the mother of Georgia) – proudly overlooking the city, 20m aluminum woman is the symbol of the city
• Bridge of Peace – stretching 150 meters over the Mtkvari River this bow-shaped bridge connects Old Tbilisi with the new district.
• Rike Park – one of the newest parks located in the heart of Tbilisi. It leads us to the famous – Bridge of Peace - bow-shaped pedestrian bridge, a steel and glass construction illuminated with numerous LEDs, over the Kura River in downtown Tbilisi.
• Once we take lots of pictures and enjoy the area of old town, we drive to Mtatsminda Park.
• Mtatsminda Park is an amusement facility located atop Mount Mtatsminda on 770 meter height overlooking the Georgian capital Tbilisi. It is the highest point in Tbilisi. Mtatsminda Park is the most popular theme park in Tbilisi with the best panoramic view of the city.

• Today we will have an exciting trip along The Georgian Military Road to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Georgian landscapes. During this journey you will visit:
• Zhinvali Reservoir – water reservoir with panoramic views
• Ananuri Fortress – medieval defensive fortress, built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list.
• Arch of Friendship near Gudauri – the monument is a circular balcony hanging off of a 600 meter cliff with amazing views of Caucasus Mountains.
• Kazbegi/Stepanstminda and its famous landmark – Gergety Trinity Church – one of the most famous destinations in Georgia. You will have an opportunity to take a look at the fifth highest mountain peak in Europe – Mkinvartsveri ( 5054 m).

• Trip to wine region – Kakheti
• The Monastery of St. Nino at Bodbe is a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex. It was originally built in the 9th century. The monastery now functions as a nunnery and is one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, due to its association with St. Nino, the 4th-century female evangelist of Georgians, whose relics are shrined there.
• Sighnaghi is endowed with significant historic and cultural heritage sites. Its charming cobblestone streets and alleys, detailed facades give the town a romantic mystique. The town overlooks stunning view of Alazani Valley, which is one of Georgia’s most famous wine-producing regions.
• Tsinandali House Museum - Tsinandali is Kakhetian residence of the 19th century Prince, poet and public figure, Alexandre Chavchavadze. In 1835 he renovated the estate, built a new palace and a decorative garden. There highly regarded dry white Tsinandali is still being produced in wine cellar, where unique collection of wine are kept (20000 bottles). The exhibits of Tsinandali museum recreate scenes from intellectual life of 18th-19th cc. It also includes a beautiful garden filled with all kinds of flowers and trees.

• Borjomi’s central park, dating back to 1850, occupies a narrow wooded valley and includes the town's original mineral water source, Ekaterina Spring, which is straight ahead of the entrance. Most of the park is full of rather naff rides and entertainments, but if you walk about 3km upstream, you’ll find several small, spring-fed swimming pools. Borjomi central park is great place to walk and relax in beatiful nature with family.
• Borjomi-Kharagauli National has a great variety of natural landscapes, historical and architectural monuments, resorts and settlements. Covering more than 85,000 hectares of native forest and alpine meadows, the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is a protected area. The tourist season lasts all year, allowing visitors to experience the stunning variety of flora and fauna.

• Rabati Castle is a medieval structure in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia, which dates back to the 13th century The castle complex is comprised of a mosque, a minaret, a synagogue, a Christian church, a palace, a citadel, as well as landscaped gardens, vineyards on terraces, outdoor pools with fountains, a history museum, a hotel, a restaurant, souvenir and wine shops
• Vardzia is a cave monastery site in southern Georgia. The caves stretch along the cliff for some five hundred meters and in up to nineteen tiers. The monastery was an important cultural center, a place of significant literary and artistic work. Vardzia was built in the 12th century, under the reign of King Tamar, the first woman in the history of Georgia that was ever crowned as a king (because the word “queen” was used to refer to the wives of the kings in medieval Georgia).
